A passion for cars.

My passion for automobiles has been a lifelong journey, starting 42 years ago when I began working at a local car dealership. That experience ignited an interest that has defined my career and personal endeavors ever since. However, my love for cars started even earlier with my very first vehicle: a 1967 Chevy Malibu. I took on the ambitious project of restoring it, completing the interior work myself and hiring a professional to handle the bodywork and paint. It was my first deep dive into the world of car restoration and a project I’ll never forget.

This sparked my second project, which became a true passion: building a custom, body-changing car. It started as a 1976 Pontiac Firebird and the “new” design combined parts from different vehicles and featured custom bodywork inspired by the elegance of a Ferrari. It included electric doors with shaved handles, making for a sleek, seamless appearance. Initially painted in a striking Maserati maroon, the car later transformed into a stunning blue metallic, complete with a hood mural depicting a landscape with eagles, paying tribute to the Firebird.

From there, I launched into the automotive industry. I worked for several years at the dealership before moving on to an auto body shop, where I learned the intricacies of vehicle repair and discovered what aspects of the business I loved most. My next role took me into the logistics side, working in a warehouse for an automotive parts company, further expanding my understanding of the industry.

After a brief break from working directly in automotive roles, I stayed involved by attending car shows, networking with fellow car enthusiasts, and continuing to build my knowledge. The world of automobiles is one of endless learning, and I have always enjoyed sharing insights and swapping stories with others who share the same passion.

Later, I unexpectedly found success as a car salesman, a job I took on reluctantly but ended up thriving in for 15 years. Those years taught me valuable lessons about connecting people with the cars that best fit their needs and gave me a deeper appreciation for the art of salesmanship.

Today, I’m channeling my experience into a new venture: a comprehensive website designed to serve the automotive community. This site will be a one-stop resource, simplifying the search for information and services while benefiting both visitors and companies advertising on the platform. Our goal is to provide a free, easily accessible service that connects people with everything they need in the automotive world.

In addition to working on this project, I continue to feed my passion for cars. I love visiting automotive museums, such as the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma and the iconic Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Attending events like the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, the world’s largest trade show, keeps me inspired and connected to the ever-evolving industry.

I’m thrilled to share my knowledge and experience through this new platform, aiming to bring the community together and make a lasting impact in the world of automobiles. Join me on this journey to create easier access and improve mobility for everyone in the Pacific Northwest. Let’s roll!
